What happens in a Metamorphic Technique Session?

The Metamorphic Technique in itself is very simple and very easy to learn, as it does not require any technical skills from the practitioner apart from accepting detachment (regards the outcome of a session) as main requirement; the practitioner will not give advice or guidance and will not need to know any past medical history; but if you feel like it, you may share whatever you wish and it will be treated confidentially. We acknowledge that the innate intelligence of our clients knows much better than our limited mind, which changes may be needed for the fulfillment of their unique potential.

You may sit or lie down to receive your session, which usually lasts about one hour; but this also can be changed to suit your particular requirements, which is especially helpful when working with children.

A very gentle touch will be given to your inner aspect of the feet, which usually is very pleasant and not very ticklish (otherwise I would not have survived it!!); after about 20 to 30 minutes on each foot, the hands receive a similar touch on the thumbs and wrists for about 5 minutes each, and then a special area on your skull will be gently touched; I try to avoid the word 'massage' not to confuse the Metamorphic Technique with a form of therapy.

The recipient can interrupt the session at any time, if it does not feel right any more. During the session you may maybe just relax, dream, fall asleep, or chat, if you wish.

The Technique is totally safe, because your process is only guided by your own innate intelligence; you do not receive any manipulation, direction or specially directed energy from your practitioner.

"In the practice of the Metamorphic Technique the practitioner uses a light touch on the feet, hands and head. Metamorphic Technique practitioners do not impose their will or seek to direct the recipient’s life force in any way. An environment can then emerge in which the power and intelligence, that are already inherent in the life of the person, will be the best guiding factor for the unique life that the person already is. Some people may wish to talk, whilst others prefer to be quiet. There is no need for practitioners to know about your personal or medical history. The Technique is gentle, is easy to learn and, since no special ability or background is needed, it is accessible to everyone.

Practitioners cannot predict or guarantee what will happen after a session because this depends on the uniqueness of each person's own life force. People often feel energized or relaxed or both, however practitioners have absolutely no expectation of there being any right or wrong way for people to feel after a session." (Metamorphic Association)

The practitioner will never claim any 'results', because he/her knows, that the work of transformation is done by the client's lifeforce alone; but likewise practitioners will not be made responsible for what might be seen as 'unsuccessful'.

Sometimes it happens that transformation is so subtle, that the person who changes is not always aware...and sometimes other things in our lives may happen to guide us in a new direction, which we do not link directly with the Metamorphic Technique. And who knows how the life force really works??

The problem with 'marketing' the technique in our days is its simplicity; it is very difficult to accept and trust something so simple in our constructed and complicated world. That is why it is called 'technique': you have to try it, do it, experience it to be able to judge it.

Welcome to a new adventure - your own.
